British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS)

The British Society for Dermatological Surgery is dedicated to providing the highest standards for skin cancer care and skin surgery care in the UK. It was founded in the early 1980s and its website is bsds.org.uk.

From 2005 - 2011, I was an executive committee member of the British Society for Dermatological Surgery and in 2006 I organised the largest and most successful annual surgical workshop of the previous 25 years. This meeting was held over 3 days and hosted over 120 delegates being taught hands on surgery on pig belly and trotters by nearly 30 faculty members.

I was elected Treasurer of the Society from 2009 - 2011.

In 2010 I was awarded the Metal Man / "Surgeon of Steel" award by the Society for inspirational contributions to the Society's affairs.
