SKCIN - The Karen Clifford Skin Cancer Charity

In February 2006, Richard Clifford and I met to discuss the formation of a charity dedicated solely to skin cancer patients. This became known as the sKCin – The Karen Clifford Skin Cancer Charity, named after Richard’s wife, who lost her battle with malignant melanoma. Richard, BBC East Midland Radio presenter John Holmes and I were the co-founders and I was it’s first chairman. Together with Richard’s family we recruited others and worked hard to establish ourselves on a national level. The Charity did so well that it became almost a full time job for me. Time constraints with work and family were too much and I stepped down in February 2008. The Charity is going from strength to strength. Click here
